Ohio Bound Ancestors?

If you have ancestors who either came to or through Ohio in the 19th century, you might be interested in my recent article, "Ohio Migration Routes: What You Need To Know" in the September/October Issue of Family Chronicle. Copies are available at Barnes & Noble, Books-A-Million, Chapters or through the Family Chronicle Website here (real or PDF).

I read your article in Family Chronicles. It was an awesome article! My Robinson line came from Washington County, NY prior to 1850 and settled in Medina County, Ohio, later moving to Michigan. I've often wondered why they moved, what route they took, etc. The article helped put some of this into place for me - I suspected that they could have come via the Erie Canal, but wasn't sure about the other possible routes from east New York.

Thanks so much for writing this article!
